Kitten: The Death of Julie Easton

A young woman's curiosity about sex with men other than her husband leads to her death. Her husband, a prime suspect, hires the granddaughter-grandfather team of Kit Castleman and Ike Cobb. As detectives Roy Boone and Brenda Wright pursue an array of suspects from New York to San Diego and from Nashville to New Orleans, Matt Woolsey, the Assistant District Attorney who was defeated by Kit and Ike in Kitten pursues a romantic relationship with Kit.

     Maintaining a fantastic pace, the setting and characters are used to emphasize the roles of sexuality, legal discourse, and interpersonal relations. The conclusion may surprise the reader. It sure did the author, when confronted with a unexpected twist.
